Pan Card: There's no need to apply for a PAN since the Indian Income Tax Agency will offer it to anyone who asks for it or gives it to someone who doesn't.
Under the Indian Income Tax Act, 1961, a PAN is a unique identification granted to all judicial organizations. Section 139A of the Income Tax Act provides for the issuance of a personal identification number (PAN) and its associated card.
A PAN card is not recognized as proof of Indian citizenship because it is also provided to foreign persons (such as investors) who have a valid visa. For submitting income tax returns, you'll need a PAN.
Aadhar Card: Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique identification that is used by Indian residents and is based on demographic and biometric data. Individual personal data is gathered and maintained in the databases of India's Unique Identification Authority (UIDAI).
The government has issued an order requiring every taxpaying person in India to link their PAN to their Aadhaar Card. Every individual was required to complete this connection by July 1st.
